4 Digit Monsanto MAN-3A Wristwatch LED Display

4 digit Monsanto MAN-3 LED module, tested and working. The Monsanto MAN-3A is widely considered by the Internet to be the first surface mount LED display. This module appears to originally have been made for a 'drivers' style LED wristwatch like the Synchronar, and has small holes in the back where it would be connected to the rest of the watch. MAN-3A displays are pretty hard to find and this module would be perfect for repairing a LED watch or building your own watch; the center digits have even been flipped to provide a proper colon indicator. Hewlett Packard 4 digit yellow ceramic LED display, used condition, tested and working. These were originally intended for military telecommunications systems and are rugged to an extreme degree, the cases are ceramic and glass with gold traces and pins. The displays have internal shift registers and drivers, as well as individual wire-bonded dies for each pixel of each digit. The displays have solder on the pins but the pins look to be full length and there are no chips or flaws in the glass that I can see. Datasheets are readily available on the Internet, the datasheet for the HDSP 2010 will work with this part.
