| A108 Dekatron Counting Tube | ||||||||

The Soviet-made A108 dekatron is a strange tube; it is one of the smallest counting tubes ever made, and it has an unusual internal construction with only 10 cathodes instead of the 30 cathodes typical for a dekatron counting tube. The cathodes are bent at an angle and designed to be driven with a flip flop, but the tube will work just fine with most dekatron circuits, including the common line voltage 'spinner' circuits available on the Web. A tiny Burroughs Panaplex II branded neon filled display, used but tested condition. This is a neon filled seven segment display with 4 and 1/2 digits and colon in a tiny flat glass envelope, it is uncommon to see a Panaplex display that crams this many digits into such a small space. This display has full length leads and is not desoldered,and all of the segments test good. The display has a label on the back indicating it has been doped with krypton-85. Maybe it is time for someone to build a Panaplex watch? The SP-353 is a three-digit device and its bathtub enclosure is intended to be mounted directly adjacent to other displays of the same type, to construct larger display assemblies. Two of these displays mounted side-by-side could form the nucleus of a nice six digit 'Nixie' clock. Itron Mark III flat matrix CRT, like new condition, 16 pixels per tube, designed for tiling. FMCRT cells display images using a series of flood beam CRT electron guns with controlling gate electrodes, effectively converting a typical cathode ray tube into a single pixel bitmapped device. This tube has an array of 16 pixels of four subpixels in an RGGB pattern. Like most CRTs this tube needs high voltage to operate, about 1000 volts on the large center terminal, as well as a pair of 1 volt filaments for each half of the tube, which will show up with a continuity check. The other pins take 5 volts and turn the pixels on and off in some sort of convoluted multiplexing arrangement. This is a brand new tube that has never been in a display. Burroughs 122P224 nixie tube, used and tested. This model of tube is an alternate part number for the B5902 and displays the digits 0 through 9 in neon viewed through the top of the glass envelope. Digit height is 16mm and the tube envelope is 27mm in diameter and 32mm high, not including nipple or pins. These tubes are used and have missing print and other signs of wear, but have been tested and are all in working order. Large Soviet-made phosphor coated neon bulbs, unused industrial surplus with shelf wear. These gas filled lamps work just like a common neon bulb, but have a phosphorescent coating which is excited by the ionized gas within. This causes the bulbs to light up with a piercing blue glow instead of the orange discharge common for neon lamps. These bulbs have a bayonet base with a diameter of approximately 14mm.
