Pinlite MD-640 | ||||||||
Pinlite MD-640 minitron display, used condition, tested and working. This is a 4 volt display, and will produce decent brightness in 3.3 volt and 3.6 volt logic circuits. These tiny tube-based displays were used in 70's era military equipment and are very hard to find nowadays. Each display contains seven filaments which have been sealed into a single glass bathtub package. These are used displays, but very segment has been tested and confirmed good and the edges have no chips other than normal factory wear. Pinlite Alphanumeric Minitron Display
Rare Pinlite alphanumeric 'Minitron'-style incandescent display, used, tested and working condition. Commonly, used in military equipment, these displays use an array of heated lightbulb filaments to display numbers and letters, which have been shoehorned into a tiny cubical envelope. This is a 4 volt display, and should be paired with two diodes per segment when run from a 5 volt TTL source. Digit height is .300 inches and the display is .468 inches high. These displays are used, but all segments test good; alphanumeric Pinlite displays are practically impossible to find, and these would be a good addition to a tube or display collection or for construction of a "four letter word" clock or other display project. Wamco KW105GH
Hard to find Wamco KW105GH numeric 'Minitron'-style incandescent display, in used desoldered but tested condition. This is the rare reduced thickness version of the KW105, which is itself a tiny and hard to find display. The KW105GH is about half the thickness of a normal KW105; package dimensions in inches are 0.468 by 0.306 by 0.185. The KW105GH is rated for 100,000 hours at 5VDC, and will probably last much longer at lower voltages. This display is a desolder but has good length leads and all segments test good. If you are trying to construct some sort of wristwatch / weather balloon / deep space Nixie clock where size of extreme importance, this might be the display for you! 10 Line Minitron Bargraph Display
This is a totally bizarre bargraph minitron, in tested and working condition. Wamco bargraphs are notoriously hard to find, and this is a strange model that does not appear anywhere in the Wamco display catalog. Each of the 10 'bars' can be controlled individually, and the filament wells have been painted silver prior to evacuation to increase the light output. We are unsure what intention this part serves...it may be a prototype or a custom display for a specific device. Either way, if you are a display collector, it is unusual to see a part as strange as this. IEE FFD61
Aurora FFD61 minitron display, new old stock with minor shelf wear. This military grade display, with a digit height is 17mm and a package length of 28mm, it is one of the largest 'minitron'-style filament displays ever made commercially available. The photos show the display next to some of its smaller relatives to give a comparison of size. These tube-based displays were used in 70's era military equipment and are very hard to find nowadays. The segments are incandescent, this tube is in effect a lightbulb with 7 filaments. The display is in clean like new condition with only the smallest signs of shelf wear, and each segment has been tested and is good and bright. Inline Incandescent Fiber Optic Display
This is a seven segment fiber optic display with a pin header back, tested and working. This is a very hard to find display part that uses optical fibers lit by small incandescent bulbs to display numbers and characters. The display is held together with screws and can be easily opened to install new bulbs or replace them with LEDs. A nice thing about this type of display is that the bulbs can be replaced with LEDs, allowing numbers of nearly any color to be displayed. The back connection is a 10 pin header with the same pitch as an IDE hard drive connector, which make it easy to hook up… multiple digits can be plugged into an IDE ribbon cable side by side. Alphanumeric Minitron Socket
This is a hard to find socket for Wamco and Pinlite alphanumeric minitrons, good clean condition, with no solder on the pins. This socket will convert the troublesome tubular pin base of most small alphanumeric minitrons into something that can be soldered to a PCB. This socket will work with any alphanumeric minitron that has a "C" shaped tubular pin base.
