BX-1000 Beam-X Switch beam switching tube, new condition in white carton. The BX-1000 is a complicated 10 stage decade counter tube that can be coupled directly to a Nixie tube display to create a transistor free counting and display system. Each tube contains 10 cylindrical magnets that direct the flow of electrons within the device, a switching grid 'bumps' an electron beam from magnet to magnet in a circular fashion inside the envelope. Though these were actually manufactured by Burroughs, the example for sale here has been crudely re-printed with the brand name "Electronic Enterprises".
