NEC D7220 video controller IC, new old stock, still in original tube. The D7220 is a highly regarded video interface controller that was popular in the early 1980s. This chip can draw circles and lines to a bitmapped CRT, and also includes support for light pens and complex character graphics. The D7220 saw use in a number of early computer systems from NEC and Digital Equipment Corporation, including the DEC Rainbow and the NEC APCIII. |
